Here’s another reason to exercise as a family: kids who get regular physical activity may reduce their risk of fracture in old age. According to research presented at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine’s (AOSSM) Specialty Day, children who perform regular physical activity have an increase in peak bone mass. Increased bone mass is associated with lower fracture risk as people age. So head outside and play with your kids to improve their health now and in the future!
